OUR STORY
Like so many other bands, Play the Odds was formed in our singers parents basement back in 2015 with founding members and high school best friends Noah Anderson (vocals/guitar), Antonio Monteleone (guitar), and Kevin Taegel (bass). The band originated under the name Blue Spectrum and quickly gained traction in the local scene by playing popular metro Detroit venues and events such as the Token Lounge, Freddy's, and Sterling Fest. After the release of Blue Spectrum's debut EP, we played our biggest show to date when we opened for Nick Jonas at Meadowbrook Amphitheater in 2018. A few years later- covid, members moving out of state, and a cease and desist letter over the name Blue Spectrum put the band on a brief hold. That didn't stop us though as in 2024 we reformed as Play the Odds with the original 3 members and new drummer Chris Wilczweski. We are back and better than ever as we are still bringing energetic classic rock, alternative rock, and indie to the Detroit music scene. Follow along for upcoming shows and events and updates on original music!
